Happy Xmas from DA

Another year over...a new one just begun.
If 2009 was about waking up to the crisis in music, 2010 will be about that famous chinese pictogram for Crisis, danger and opportunity.
Opportunity is clear. The music business does not know its fans, and is losing ground every day to tech companies.
Meanwhile tech companies are producing businesses that "scale" but bear no relation to the future of music, and more to its past.
We are not selling products, or streaming, or ad supporting schemes. All of which take music as the key driver and since they have come through, the traditional CD, touring, publishing business are not being replaced.
We are building relationships, and derving value from that.
Where will the great new acts come from if not from the audience?
Thats what I believe DA has to offer the music world.
A service that helps artists find an audience, where fans are connected to the music, the culture, and maybe, if they contribute enough, to be part of the new music industry that is emerging.
Different, more volatile, more creative, and more rewarding.
